About our rugs
The Crucial Rug Store is a leading UK natural rug company - we supply natural rugs manufactured by Crucial Trading.
All Crucial Rug Store rugs are custom made and prices are based on a rugs material/border configuration and its size. You can use the Rug Builder - with its integrated wishlist function to design/price as many rugs as you want before purchasing.
Each Crucial Rug Store rug comes with high quality bordering of your choice, the Rug Builder also provides the option to add an extra border or edge piping.
To assist we have created a range of fully customisable designs available in our materials ranges and collections. Please note as all of our rugs are hand made sizes can vary by up to 5%.

To make the selection process easier we've introduced in-depth material profiles for coir, jute, seagrass, sisal, sisool, wool.
We have also introduced a system of suitability icons which you will see below. Each icon denotes the suitability of a material for a particular type of environment. If there is no icon present then the material is considered unsuitable for that particular type of environment.
